The repair shop is operated by magicians. They are true masters of their craft. I could not be happier with the work they performed on my J200. Highly, highly recommend for any repairs. Their selection of acoustics is amazing as well. And to top it all off, everyone there is extremely friendly.

I order a Collings MT mandolin from gryphon, sight unseen, over the internet. It arrived perfectly packaged and set up. It is also the best sounding mandolin I've ever played. You can't go wrong with Gryphon strings.
Fantastic collection of various stringed instruments such as guitars, mandolins, and ukuleles. They have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff and also do maintenance at the back. I have bought 2 guitars from them over the last few years and I highly recommend them.

First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
