The nylon nut master! I shipped my guitar out of state to have a botched nut job repaired. He not only did an amazing job on the nylon nut, but he went out of his way and repaired a ding on my fretboard, cleaned up the threads on my truss-rod and re-radiused my stop tail piece that had collapsed a bit. Super nice guy!
I have been a client of Mr. Powers for 2 years now. I have taken multiple guitars to him and tube amps. Out of all the luthiers I have worked with in the past (more than 6), Charlie Powers is the best. He knows what he is doing and will listen to his customers when they have a concern.
I recently shipped my es335 gibson to Chuck. The guitar had a few issues. Chuck did a fret level and dress, replaced the nut, adjusted the pickups, and did a complete setup. The guitar plays wonderfully. Chuck is a master at his trade.
