Shout out to Jon at the Guitar Center in North Charlotte. He is very personable and actually gets to know you. I saw other customers come in he remembered them as well. Such a solid guy and really contributed to what you’re looking for.
I've never actually been here but I wanna go so bad. Maybe I could drag my family here the next time we're in Charlotte lol. I wanna go to one of the keyboards and hit the G note, see if any fellow emos notice, and then continue to play welcome to the black parade.
Shoutout to Kris. Genuinely cared to help me out and give a LOT of his time. Without any issue doing so. Happy to help. While also still serving other customers efficiently as he helped walk me through all sorts of stuff.
This place has the best staff!!! Every time I go here, I have an enjoyable experience. If I want to try out the guitars, I am left alone. The staff only comes to see if I need anything or have any questions. When I bought a sound system, the worker refused to have me carry it to my car.
Selling or trading gear at Guitar Center
Guitar Center comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
