Awesome guitar shop! We just love this place. It looks and smells like you are inside of a giant dusty humbucker, or in the back of an old fender deluxe. Howie has fixed a few of my les paul necks, and banjos and they are holding up perfectly going on 10 years.
Recently purchased a Martin and wanted to have it looked at/professionally setup. I felt the action was a little high for my liking. Brought it in to guitar Haven and was told that the guitar did not need any work just yet. Howie advised me to hold off when he could have just made an extra couple dollars.
took a new guitar to howie for set-up as it was pretty rough from the factory...just picked up, and wow! what a difference! he needed to adjust virtually everything to get the intonation and action right including bridge and saddle work...new strings (wound correctly on the locking tuners) finished off the set-up...
Howie is the BEST! I was in the market to purchase my first guitar at age 58 and I don’t even know a single chord! He took the time to listen to me and after a short time we found the perfect electric guitar. He made my purchase within my budget and absolutely was more guitar than what I paid for.
