Came in and was instantly greeted they showed me respect and took me seriously when I asked to try a few Taylor's and martins. Took me to the guitar room with several guitars over $5000 and told me to try whatever I wanted that kind of treatment was greatly appreciated the last guitar store told me I couldn't play…
I live within 3 miles of 6 music stores. I have been a customer of Jerry's music for 30 years and am willing to drive 90 miles for their sales and service work because that is how good their customer service is.
Great little gem of a music store in Wausau. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have been going to Tim for many years any time that I need work done on one of my basses. He always does a great job and never disappoints. This is the last upgrade that he did for me on my bass (see b4 & after photos).
Jerry's music always does such an amazing job with my guitar. Every time I take my guitar in, it costs less than anticipated and sounds phenomenal. I highly recommend this shop to everyone; you will not be disappointed.
Selling or trading gear at Jerry's Music
Jerry's Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
