One of my favorite New York establishments and an absolute must-visit every time I’m in the city. I particularly enjoy their strict adherence to the laws of physics. All the saxophone radiation levels are well within the “safe range.
If I could give 10/5 stars I would. John at JL woodwinds is truly an outstanding human being. First, is his customer service skills. He never stopped responding to my messages, always left no stone unturned, and made sure that I was satisfied.
John is an incredible technician, player and teacher of the saxophone! I got a custom horn from him and it plays so effortless and sounds so warm. With the un-lacquered finish and subtle dragon etching, It's absolutely gorgeous and everyone comments on how nice it is as soon as they see it.
What a great experience! I've heard about JL Woodwinds and their Artist Edition saxophones for a while now, but it was quite the experience to visit the shop and pick up my new tenor (featured in the picture below). I actually came into the shop twice. First, to try out a bunch of saxophones.
