Mike did the frets on my Hutnik electric, Martin Acoustic, Morales Classical and Parker electric. In short, his work is better than excellent. The Parker was a new guitar that played fine but I wanted the fretwire changed to Jumbo Evo Gold. I asked for the action to be as low as possible with minimal buzz.
Mike Koontz is one of the nicest and knowledgeable repairmen in Michigan. Always willing to help even if its busy. If he's tied up in any way he'll give you an honest and fair timeframe on when he'll get back to you. Just got my custom bass routed and he even put back in the electronics.
Took my favorite guitar to him. It had a crack in the neck and the first photo shows the end result. You cannot even tell the crack was ever there. I also asked him to adjust the action. Which he did superbly. I am so happy with the end result.
