“I’ve never heard tones like that dreadnaught has, both live and in the studio — the bass is so rich.”
“He brought my old beat-up J-45 back to life, installed a pickup in my new Martin CEO-7, and repaired cracks on a rare Taylor — all with fantastic results.”
“They are excellent guitars, but they are still commercial builds, and the level of fine detail simply can’t match what a master luthier achieves.”

From the reviews
I own two MacMillan acoustic guitars and am a full-time, touring musician. You will not find a better guitar, a more professional businessman, a better builder, or a more pleasant experience. Marty is one-of-a-kind, as are his guitars. Do yourself a favor and pull the trigger.
Marty is awesome! He setup two Taylor guitars for me, and made them sound great. I was also fortunate to see his workshop and custom guitars - such beautiful craftsmanship and great motivation to get good enough to be worthy of one. Thanks Marty, you’re the best!
Absolutely Incredible Guitar!!!!! I recently turned 60, been playing for 51 years, I've had many guitars over the years including Collings, H&D, Gibson, Martin, Taylor, Guild, Larrivee, K. Yairi, Takamine, Yamaha, etc. I've taught guitar lessons for 40 years, one of my former students is Macmillan Artist, Tony Pierce.
I have the good fortune of owning two custom-built MacMillan guitars. Marty’s instruments are second to none. From selecting the finest old-growth tonewoods—chosen specifically to complement my playing style—to the final finish, which is simply stunning in both quality and beauty, every detail reflects absolute build…
