From the reviews
I had a wonderful experience at Mad Music. I’m from the area but had moved away many years ago. I was visiting the area on vacation and went to Mad Music to buy some strings, strap locks, polish, and accessories etc. I ended up playing this beautiful lightly used Purple Jackson Monarkh. Rob was awesome.
A great music store, went in to get my acoustic repaired and ended up trading it in and went home with a fabulous Taylor! Great selection , greater service, my acoustic got serviced while I waited, I had my 16month old daughter with me and she was mesmerized by all the guitars hanging on the wall! Great day !
I've been frequenting this fantastic music store for years and have always received excellent, attentive and friendly service. I've purchased multiple guitars there as well as amps, pedals, etc. As a full time, life long professional working musician, I highly recommend Mad Music.
Very pleased with the service I received, not only did these guys give me a great deal on repairing and restringing my hurricane damaged guitar, they went over and beyond cleaning and polishing her up for me too!! Responsive, friendly, professional...quick turnaround time which is important. Will be back👍
Selling or trading gear at Mad Music
Mad Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
