Marina Music Center encapsulates everything great about your local guitar shop. The owner, Alex, is a talented and knowledgeable musician. Also, he really loves to teach and share his knowledge. I brought my Strat in for a setup (only $55 and their luthier did an amazing job!!
The nicest music store in Los Angeles! Alex has everything you need for any instrument, and he has so much amazing equipment and music instruments for sale. He is a kind man and goes beyond to help musicians.
Alex is incredible. He is very matter of fact and straight to the point. I came in with an acoustic guitar with a broken string and he ended up giving it a full diagnosis. Turns out my guitar was pretty bad, especially for the goals I had.
These guys are quick, fairly priced, and care about instruments. I will be coming here for every set up I need in the future, even despite the drive from Hollywood. Too many music stores around here are impersonal and leave me feeling like I didn't get the best service.
