What's on the wall
“I had a LR Braggs L6 acoustic pickup installed in my Guild thin bodied acoustic/Electric guitar, they did an excellent job with the guitar.”

“I picked up a nylon string guitar at a vintage shop earlier in the day, and the staff here helped me get set up with a case and strings.”

“There’s a nice range of guitars, ukuleles, strings, and a pretty solid pedal section in the display cases.”

From the reviews
Has never had the largest inventory in town, but what they do have is always really cool. But I'd love to give 2 thumbs up to Bob and Nate. I brought my new-to-me Ibanez Rg5320 (pictured) for a pickup swab and setup to B standard, which they did an excellent job.
Mark’s Guitar Shop over in the Garland District is one of those places that still feels like an actual neighborhood guitar shop instead of a giant warehouse showroom.
This is the best guitar shop I've been to in the Spokane area. I needed my guitar repaired on a budget and they were totally willing to work with me on what I needed done at an affordable rate.
I had ordered some hip shot locking tuners for one of my guitars, they helped me figure out exactly which set I needed for the guitar, and got them ordered. Once I got them in, I was installing them and had an issue with one when it sheered off inside the tuner.
Selling or trading gear at Mark's Guitar Shop
Mark's Guitar Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at Mark's Guitar Shop
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Mark's Guitar Shop. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
