I met one of the members of the Martin family at Jazz Fest in New Orleans in 2023. At the time, I had an old Italian accordion I had bought locally for a very low price. The accordion was out of tune and needed work. I was delighted to find an accordion repair shop existed here in Louisiana.
We were unable to schedule a tour but didn't miss out because when we went to shop, we were given an opportunity to watch the 3 of them (Mr. Martin himself, Penny and Lee) working. Lee helped me pick an accordion out and gave me a very basic lesson to get me started. I absolutely LOVE my accordion.
Interesting music store. We were entertained by Owner Mr. Martin, his daughter and his grandson. Handmade accordians, guitars are available for custom order or sale of instruments already made.
Family business that believes in tradition! Carrying on the heritage of Cajun & Creole music! The only place to buy your next accordion or have yours repaired. Highly recomend!
