I wasn’t really sure if Dan was still in business, but I wanted to do local business and figured it wouldn’t hurt to send him an email. He responded very quickly, accommodated my schedule to have me stop by so he could take a look at my guitar and gave me a fair estimate in less than 24 hours.

Dan is not only a friendly man, and obviously a luthier par excellence, but how could I have known he is also a magician. I’m in DC from Port Washington and the bridge on my nylon string cracked. Dan said he thought he had a bridge that would work.

I picked up my guitar today from Dan at Mudbone Guitars, we dropped it at his house yesterday for restringing, and he polished frets up, adjusted the neck, since it seemed to be starting to bow a little. He also went above and beyond and fixed the handle on my tattered guitar case!

Dan is the best. His work is excellent but what I really appreciate is the care he took with my acoustic bass guitar and to communicate with me to find the best solution and keep me informed of the progress and the cost. I will always take my repairs or upgrades to Mudbone.
