From the reviews
My child has taken guitar lessons here for the past 3 years. It has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are fantastic. The staff, especially Jay, have been extremely helpful over the years with information, scheduling and purchasing instruments.
I special ordered a Fender Jag Stang from the Avon store. First of all I did not even know that I could do that. The service was simply amazing from the staff here. They also were able to get me a great price on the guitar and kept me informed about the order until it arrived.
We come by occasionally to get strings, and buy accessories and sheet music. Last time we stopped by because the bridge of my son’s cello had moved, and I didn’t feel comfortable trying to DIY it. Not only did the guys at Music and Arts fix it for us, they also tuned the cello, and didn’t charge us anything.
I was surprised to find out that this music store was actually NOT a locally owned, sole-proprietor shop. Why?, because the knowledge and service I received from the staff person on duty at the time of my arrival, Eddie, was excellent. Kudos to Eddie for providing a quality customer experience!
Lessons at Music & Arts
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Music & Arts. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
