What players say again and again
“Lessons are usually great here too, but they sometimes hire people off the street.”
“Amazing and helpful staff, and there’s a lot of good books offered here, though not a ton past the intermediate level.”
“($300+) In terms of instrument quality, though, it’s great for beginners that don’t want to fully commit yet to a higher priced instrument.”
From the reviews
We have always had a good experience at this location and with this chain in general. They have a good stock of everything you'd need for a wide range of instruments, and even when they don't they have them shipped to their store pretty quickly (not something I really expected from them at first).
Attended "Free Restring Friday" today. My experience was awesome! While Madison changed the strings on my acoustic, Chris gave me a novice insight into electric guitars. Both were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Offering both great information, and great advice for my future music endeavors.
Superb team! Very helpful and answer a ton of questions without losing patience. As a very new guitarist they pointed me in the right direction from finding picks that work for me up to helping get an amp for practicing. Can't wait to start my lessons here!
Great shop with terrific people. My son got his first bass guitar here. He takes weekly based lessons there now. Everybody is always kind and always happy to see us. We always look forward to going to the shop.
Lessons at Music & Arts
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Music & Arts. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
