What's on the wall
From the reviews
Great place. I bought a Giannini GB-1 Jazz bass. It's been over a year, and the bass is still perfect. When I was there, I was given time to pick it up and plug it in. I bought the bass, a case, and DR strings. The case I was going to buy wouldn't fit my bass, so they dropped the price of the bigger case down.
Wanted a new guitar. Have always had second hand ones. After spending numerous weekend at the shop i finally pulled the trigger and found an Alvarez i really like that felt good. The staff helped ti to find the perfect hard case and and any accessories i needed but i was short on cash.
Met the friendliest older musician here who told me some awesome stories while he showed me around and let me demo a Jackson 4 string and a Yamaha electric drum kit. Although they didn't have the specific instrument that I was looking for, I enjoyed the experience!!
Nice music store, was a little sparse on some things this time but everyone is having supply issues right now so no blame on them.
Selling or trading gear at Music Company
Music Company comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
