From the reviews
I can’t say enough good things about Music Scene! We came here looking for a trumpet for my son’s school band, and I was blown away by how easy their band rentals process was.
This was the only store in the Wichita Metro area that had the strings I needed for my daughter's 1/4 violin which was already a huge win. I brought the violin in thinking maybe I'd drop it off in their cue to get restrung since all the other places said it'd take 3 days to a week to get to.
I would 100% give the Music Scene 10 stars! ⭐️ I cannot say enough positive things about the Music Scene!! Their professionalism and care for the customer is something I have never seen before! They take their time with each customer and make them feel important and make sure their needs are met before they leave!
Music Scene is an incredible place for live music, music lessons, and community events in Andover, KS! The atmosphere is welcoming, the instructors are passionate, and the opportunities for students and musicians of all ages are amazing.
Selling or trading gear at Music Scene | Music Store & Events Venue
Music Scene | Music Store & Events Venue comes up for buying and trading used gear, going by their listing and players’ reviews. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
Lessons at Music Scene | Music Store & Events Venue
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Music Scene | Music Store & Events Venue. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
