From the reviews
Small, quality shop for school and student instruments. Shayne at the counter was a pleasure to talk to. The rental program is competitively priced, and they have the typical brands. Used instruments looked well-maintained. They have all the basic supplies students need, reeds, strings, cleaning kits, etc.
This Nashville establishment is an excellent place to buy or rent a quality instrument. They have knowledgeable staff and skilled craftsmen.
I've been going here since I was in middle school. I'm a flute player, but I've gotten a flute, violin, piccolo, guitar, and ukulele from this store! Dan is great at fixing instruments as well, and has the best prices in Nashville! Piccolos are notoriously difficult to fix, but he is willing to fix mine anyway!
I came here a few times last month to buy various instruments and accessories and I can say I’ve never enjoyed music shopping more. The guys who work here are so smart and cool. And they bring in crazy vintage instruments that you can try out and consider. True angels of music. Love this place!
Lessons at Nashville Music Co
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Nashville Music Co. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
