10-18-24 - UPDATE - I loved my SG so much I went back and bought a beautiful Mojo filled 86 Les Paul Custom!!!!! Awesome guitar. Thanks Jay 10-9-24 - Bought a 2016 Gibson SG from Jay. He was very cool, price was right, guitar is top notch
This is the place to go for lefty guitars and basses. Came across it on Facebook which led me to the website, I had to check it out. Jay was so knowledgeable, helpful, and patient letting me try anything I wanted. He was also assisting other customers in the process and never once forgot about me.
This shop is absolutely amazing! They are the only shop within at least a hundred miles that carry left hand guitar and basses. I think when I went there I must have seen over a hundred lefties. My daughter's learning instruments in school so I wanted to pick up the bass and they were extremely helpful.
I am only just starting to learn guitar and visited NJ Guitar & Bass Center yesterday. Jay had a large collection of instruments and was so kind and helpful in showing me the different guitars he had available which would be most suitable for a beginner, even allowing me to try them all out.
Lessons at New Jersey Guitar & Bass Center
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at New Jersey Guitar & Bass Center. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
