I don't know that I've ever had a better experience buying something. I initially decided to try and cheap out and buy a busted up used bayan on another website and then a dayan and the rest of the things needed from Old Delhi.
Nic at Old Delhi Music is intimately familiar with harmonium construction and maintenance, is honest, reliable and very nice to work with. He fixed some issues and adjusted my 20-yr old Kolkatta-style harmonium and it now plays better than ever. I also purchased a new Paul & Co harmonium from him.
This harmonium arrived safely and well packaged, which I was worried about being that harmoniums can be delicate, yet there was absolute no issue in shipping. I requested tuning to A-440 which was done expertly. The harmonium itself is absolutely beautiful with an amazing tone and incredibly sustain.
I recently purchased a Bhava “Lite” travel harmonium from Old Delhi Music. Before purchasing I exchanged email with Nic asking questions and comparing the Bhava to my old Bina. Nic set my mind at east that the sustain would be similar to the Bina.
