Incredible selection and very helpful staff. They are so passionate about everything they do. Anyone looking for their next string instrument needs to go here! The display room is beautiful and they have a repair shop if your instrument has a mishap.
Wonderful experience with Penrose Strings. Took in my grandfather’s 100 + yr old violin to have restored as a family heirloom. They shared their knowledge , experience & expertise, and their luthier did an excellent job putting the instrument back into shape. The price was fair & am so happy I took my business to them.
Excellent violin store. Very helpful, knowledgeable and kind staff. Michael answered all our questions, taught us a bunch of useful information and went out of his way to get us several of the same violin to choose from to make sure we liked the grain in the wood, color, etc… I highly recommend them!
The 2 Michaels were an absolute delight to visit with today. Super friendly and smart wells of musical knowledge and experience to dip into, right on the corner in Old Town. Strung up my beat old guitar, and made me feel like a rock star! Great guys! Great store!
