From the reviews
Was in the store a few days ago asking guitar questions and looking for a new one. We got to talking about the cheap one I had and couldn't get it playing very well. I had already had it set up by someone else but just wasn't cutting it.
I recently purchased a guitar from Phillips. After several visits, I decided on a Tele. Every time I walked in the store I was met with the most courteous and knowledgeable staff you could imagine. Aaron, Chase and David Wilson were very helpful with all my questions. I went back a few days later to buy some strings.
I am so pleased with my experience at Phillips Music Co.! We visited a few shops in bigger cities before stopping at Phillips in Lawton. The customer service was phenomenal; everyone who worked there was knowledgeable and eager to weigh in and help me out.
Best music store I’ve ever been too. I took my guitar in to get a new toggle switch put in it and they did a complete makeover on my guitar for free. New strings, cleaned the fretboard, adjusted everything the correct way. The service they did was around 60$ and they did it for free.
Lessons at Phillips Music Co.
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Phillips Music Co.. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
