I traded in my 1982 studio Yamaha (bought in 1982) for a 1991 C-5 in about 2012. After a LOT of shopping, from Kawai Blak (I liked 'em) to ancient Steinways, the manager said to me: "I know the piano for you" and took me to a C-5 from a cruise ship, complete with a loose action, white paint smudges and a few missing…
I just bought a Yamaha CLP835 (floor model) from these guys, and I gotta say that in 37 years of visiting a lot of music stores, this was by far one of the best (if not THE best) experience I've ever had. I went piano shopping at Guitar Center before I found Piano Music Center - that was a horrendous experience.
The GPS gave me the wrong direction. Heading east on Sheridan, make a left on 29 Ave, not on 28. The staff was very nice. Maria gave me enough information to make an excellent decision. They have a variety of pianos to choose from. Great experience.
After a lot of thinking and debating and shopping around, I decided to purchase my new piano here. Jim Beach was very helpful, kind and pleasant to work with. Delivery was prompt and so was the first tuning, which I scheduled 2 weeks after the delivery.
