We are in Albuquerque visiting from Canada. My wife did some research on things to do and came across Pimentel & Sons. Even though I own many guitars and love to play I was reluctant to go and see the shop. We were greeted by Rick Pimentel and immediately appreciated the passion that Rick has for his work.
Visiting Albuquerque on a business trip. Looking for a guitar store and found Pimentel as a stop/builder on Google. Really glad I stopped in. Rick gave me a presentation about their guitars then showed me around the shop. What great hospitality! Their guitars are truly works of art and passion.
After I recently purchased a 1971 Pimentel guitar from a pawn shop, I noticed it had some cracks along the body, and not wanting to try to fix it on my own, I decided to take it to Pimentel & Sons to see what they thought, and met Rick. He immediately indicated he could fix it.
I took guitar lessons here for 3.5 years and I've never regretted it. I had such good instruction about technique and performance that I still carry with me. I purchased a custom Pimentel jazz-style classical guitar and it is sublime.
