From the reviews
First time here was record store day 2024 and I'm so glad I ended my trips to shops here because they have an amazing selection to say the least! So much vinyl to leaf through with such a diverse music interests and everything was in perfect order!
One of the coolest record stores I've ever been to! Selection is unmatched. So many records, CDs, tapes, and shirts available. Prices are great too. Multiple concert stages are in the building too, so you can go browse and shop between sets if you are going to a show.
All metal heads and rock n rollers need to come here asap! The selection is amazing from punk to death metal and everything in between! I also love the fact that it's in an old church, how poetic! Definitely going to be returning to pickup more records!
First time here and will definitely be going back. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and just the general vibe was great. AMAZING selection as well, I could spend hours in this store! Recommend for sure if you are in the area, parking was easy and convenient too!
Selling or trading gear at Preserving Record Shop
Preserving Record Shop comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
