From the reviews
I brought in my son’s jazz guitar. When I picked it up on Tuesday, I spoke with Eric who started asking me what kind of musician my son is. Then asked if I needed to bring him back with the guitar to fix the adjustment that will be okay. I loved his service and that he spoke with my son.
I brought my beloved Classic Music Man bass into Kyle after the original nut broke. He noticed the frets needed some love too. Kyle did an amazing job and my bass has never played better.
For the last 7 years. I have been performing non stop. Especially in New York City as a Member of Music Under New York. performing twice a week 6-12 each time. Grew my callouses along with it. But with it the string slowly dig into the frets.
These guys were excellent. I really wanted to re-create Kurt Cobain's Martin D-18E off of the MTV Unplugged album. They did it for me. Jay at NJ Guitar and Bass Center on Amboy Ave in Edison, NJ requested these guys to me. They did a phenomenal job on the guitar.
Lessons at Raritan Bay Guitar Repair
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Raritan Bay Guitar Repair. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments on hand for exactly this reason.
