I have an evh frankie clone I finished and assembled from a chinese kit. I upgraded everything but the neck and body..... It looks and sounds great but no matter what I did, I just couldn't get the thing to play right for me. I ran into all the little issues you can expect from a budget kit guitar with a floyd rose!
Being a beginner guitar player, a friend told me to take my guitar and have lighter strings put on. I googled to find a luthier and Sam's came up I called him once or twice and we discussed which strings to put on. I went and pick them up and drop the guitar off, he got it back to me in fairly short order.
Sam has setup, wired, and replaced pickups on a couple of my MIM Stratocasters. As well as a great dressing and wiring on a kit tele I assembled. His work is second to none. I took two bass guitars in to Sam, and he took great care and attention to detail in fixing, cleaning, and intonation. They've never looked or sounded so good! Thanks again, highly recommended! 🤘
