What players say again and again

From the reviews
I ordered a Scott Chow viola in December, to be shipped to South Carolina. But I started looking at the weather with temperatures in the teens, and thought I screwed up.
Excellent inventory of instruments and print music. Staff friendly, knowledgeable, and good at following up on customer requests. Building is spacious, and built within the last few years. It showcases different inventory areas (pianos, woodwinds, strings, accessories, etc.).
4 years ago I wrote this review for the Brooklyn Center Shcmitt Muisc. That location is no longer open but the review is still pertinents so I'm re-listing: I owe these folks a few positive reviews. I played piano as a kid, took 40 years off and started playing again.
Brought in my son's marching baritone for a year-end clean and asked them to bang out some dents from falls, etc. (Usual drum corps stuff). The person at repair was so kind. He brought the actual brass repair person out to talk with me. He looked at the instrument and provided the details of what he would do.
Lessons at Schmitt Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Schmitt Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
