No reason to visit Guitar Center ever again -- not only do they have every guitar / pedal / amplifier you could hope for, they were also super friendly, knowledgeable, and are locally owned. Carry vintage, modern, and boutique guitars from many vendors.
I brought my mandolin in to have some new strings put installed. I talked to John the repair guy who was friendly, recommended the strings I needed and started putting the strings on, while I waited I chatted with some of the people working there, all were friendly and knowledgeable.
I had an acoustic guitar that I took in to make sure it was setup properly. I thought I had done everything right when I changed out the nut/saddle and pins, but wanted to have it double checked. John there looked at it quick for me and said it all looked good and didn't charge me for looking at it quick.
Stevie’s is a guitar player’s dream. Suhrs, Novos, custom shop Gibsons, vintage Fenders ready to be played. Staff was super nice. Lots of great places to sit and play. Maybe the best 15 guitars you’ll ever play in your life are at this shop right now. If you’re looking for something nice. Go here.

Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
