I’ve had my AC15HW1X for five or six years now and it’s one of my main gigging and recording amps. As much as I love the amp, I’ve always felt that overall it was really stiff and over filtered. It just didn’t feel like it bloomed the way it should and was too harsh. Enter Southbound Amplification.
I had a Fender Princeton Reverb and a Laney 30 serviced and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Both are quieter and have better tone than the original. Had reverb tanks replaced and connections cleaned as and replaced some capacitors.
I brought in a 1960s Silvertone I found at a thrift store, and he completely brought it back to life. It sounded amazing after the repair. I’ve taken it to him twice now and both times he fixed it perfectly.
I experienced superior and timely service from Southbound Amplification. Most importantly, Christopher is an outstanding electronics repairman. He was able to diagnose and repair my beloved Fender Deluxe Reverb and get it sounding great again. I am very appreciative.
