I was traveling to the Ashville Regional Airport and there are no Guitar repair shops where I live so I asked AI if there was a good one near the airport and it mentioned Steve's glowing reviews. I never looked at them but just took AI's word for it (Probably a little risky). In this case it was spot on.
This was my first time working with Steve and I’ll be back for sure. I had a new electric guitar set up, and a neglected electric bass re-strung and set up, and he even sanded and re-finished a cracked portion of the bass neck finish to perfection.
Just got my Gibson tuned up. Steve adjusted the neck, action, intonation, fingerboard nut and pickups. He also treated the fingerboard with boiled linseed oil. My guitar plays like a dream. Sounds beautiful all the way down the neck as it should(before it was playing sharp at the 12th fret).
I brought Steve my Frankenstein, early 80's Godin thin line classical (nylon string) body with a Chinese Gibson electric neck and acoustic strings, guitar I built and never could get to play right because the neck had issues. He had it a few days and now it plays super easy, clean and smooth.
