I took my Blueridge BR160-ACE to Mr. Goldstein (hope that’s the correct spelling) at The String Shop in Oak Ridge on January 20, 2023 because the bridge had started pulling away from the soundboard.
I brought Jon a 1900 Curtiss parlor guitar that I had inherited from my late father-in-law. It had been in total disrepair and kept in a display case for decades. Jon lovingly restored this instrument.
He's done it again. A backwoods find, 1933 Regal Resonator Guitar, expertly restored and renewed by Jonathan's gifted hands and vast knowledge of stringed instruments. It's no wonder that the Martin and Gibson guitar companies certify him as a warranty repair person. He's the real deal.
I have found no place in East TN that can match Jonathan’s level of service and expertise. I continue to gladly drive 45 minutes to his shop because he is so awesome! From renting or buying violins and cellos to optimizing guitars to restringing banjos, Jonathan is simply the best. I love his heart for his customers.
