From the reviews
I've been shopping numerous places locally to find an acoustic electric guitar (along with on-line, I've been to 4 music stores), and was expecting it would cost me $500-1000 to find something I really liked. I found Tague Music by asking google to find music store near me.
Thank you Brian and the team at Tague! They have taken excellent care of my guitars since 2018. I have taken my Classical, Steel String, and Electric, as well as two Arabic Ouds to them and they treat my instruments with exceptional care.
I brought an electric guitar for repair to Tague Music and, on the spot, two of the technicians looked it over, tested it out, and even examined the wiring inside before assuring me it was working properly. I asked what I owed them for their time and expertise and was told "nothing.
Kris Tague is the real deal. I had 3 Bass Trombone slides, all dual bore (.578" or .580" lower tube) that were in bad shape and in need of someone who knew what they were doing to work on them. Kris's work is as good as it gets.....anywhere. And, he can work on almost any wind instrument; brass or woodwind.
Lessons at Tague Music
Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Tague Music. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
