I have heard about the loft at Lay's for a number of years, but the drive was just far enough that I had yet to make the trek down to Akron. For the first time yesterday, I made the pilgrimage and now regret that I have been missing out for all these years!
I took a Martin accoustic in for what I thought was a serious problem but it was repaired in the ten minutes it took me to check out the many guitars for sale upstairs in The Loft. The Martin is back to awesome (for just a few bucks) and I got a great deal on a used Gretsch. Worth the hour and a half drive for me!
The best guitar shop in the Midwest. Also , Repaired my D-35 Martin to perfection. While I was there I had the opportunity to review the stunning inventory with Steve. Unbelievable knowledge and a few good stories shared too. I purchased a Les Paul that I am beyond excited about. 11 stars ( not 10 )
Don’t miss this place if you’re coming through Akron! Impressive selection of new and vintage electric, acoustics, banjos mandos and more. Steve received us and gave us the grand tour. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. Long live guitar stores like this!!!
