Went to every uke store in Waikiki looking to purchase my first proper uke. Been playing a $50 Amazon uke for a year or so. Ukulele Puapua is small, but was by far the best, nicest, most knowledgeable, and fairly priced shop I found. A lot of shops around town have crazy high markups, which I get, it's a tourist town.
Bought my dream ukulele here! All of the staff were very insightful and patient while I spent a lot of time deciding between 2 beautiful Kamakas. Jason helped highlight the differences between the ukuleles while I tried them out and answered all of my questions in detail.
I contacted the store regarding a KoAloha tenor ukulele that I saw on their website. Jason promptly responded to my email with thorough answers to my questions and included additional photos. He was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
