Professional service from start to finish! I was having a buzzing problem that cropped up suddenly with my tube amp. I contacted the people who used to service my amp and they had retired from the business. I searched Facebook for help. Over and over, musicians I know were recommending Mario from Upscale Music.
I recently picked up an old Trace Elliott off reverb and channel 1 had a loud buzz. Contacted Upscale music after reading good reviews. Mario was very friendly and fixed my amp in a good amount of time and for a good price. He has a lot of cool amps there even one I never seen before.
This place is great. They were able to service my guitar in 3 days and it was clear that they took time and cared for my guitar. Saw a guitar I was interested in on Facebook, Mario responded immediatly to my questions. Long drive to see guitar but was exactly as described. Easy transaction. Got one of his custom cables - excellent quality. Highly recommend Upscale.
Selling or trading gear at Upscale Music
Upscale Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
