Our daughter has been a student of the Virginia Academy of Music and Arts (and previously a student at the Laura Hill Music Academy), for over six years. Our daughter came to the Academy as a young middle schooler who was “done” with piano lessons.
We moved here almost a year ago and I've been searching for a piano teacher for my 6 y/o. I'm so thankful to have been referred here! At last we have found a good fit for my daughter. I highly recommend this music school to anyone searching for a place that goes beyond a traditional lesson.
We love this academy ! My 12 yr old takes flute lessons with Ms.Scott. She is a very patient teacher & makes learning flute interesting. My 10yr old takes saxophone lessons with Dr. Spece. He is a lot of fun and is very appreciative of her effort. We are very glad we found this place. Highly recommend Ms.
Both of my daughters have received(and are still receiving) a fantastic education at VAMA. We started with the early childhood at 4 years, and have been playing ever since. (7 and 8 years respectively). Maxine D'Haiti is highly trained, experienced, wise, patient, and demanding- all components of an excellent educator.
