From the reviews
Great store, I stopped by here with my kiddo while we were shopping in the area. We had a specific song in mind that we wanted to buy a record of, and they had it! Fun adventure for us, good selection and great staff.
Want List Records is an awesome addition to Belmont!💖 The owners purchase and sell a wide variety of albums & CDs, and they have turn tables so you can listen to them in the store too. Record shopping again was so much fun, & it feels warm & welcoming inside with the artist gallery too. Go visit!🎶💽🎶
Want List Records is a great store and it gives me hope. Hope, despite living in a world where we are inundated with algorithm-generated music and "content" that lacks the human touch.
I’m very happy that I finally made it to this wonderful record store - excellent selection, organized well, and all around great vibes! Can’t wait to visit again!
Selling or trading gear at Want List Records
Want List Records comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
