From the reviews

My wife takes ukulele classes here and I accompany her. The first time I entered, the place had a warm and friendly vibe. There was a string ensemble being taught by Bonnie, an energetic, enthusiastic instructor, and a violin virtuoso. I proceeded upstairs where there is a well-stocked music store.

My son needed some much needed attention for his viola. He searched the internet for a store to procure some strings. We ended up at the Western Pennsylvania Center for the Arts. This is a great place for items, repairs and even lessons. Bonnie & Ralph were great, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Bonnie and Ralph are extremely talented, and just really good people to work with! I urge you to use them to rent instruments for you or your child... and they also provide lessons, art classes, instrument purchase, and instrument repair. We rent 2 instruments from WPCA and Bonnie is my daughter's piano instructor.

Lessons at Western Pennsylvania Center for the Arts

Reviews and the store's own info mention lessons at Western Pennsylvania Center for the Arts. If you're signing up a beginner (or restarting yourself), a quick call ahead answers the three things that matter: which instruments they teach, whether the schedule has openings at the time you actually need, and what a first lesson costs. There's no wrong first guitar — a good teacher will happily work with whatever you walk in with, and a shop that teaches usually keeps affordable starter instruments and rentals on hand for exactly this reason.
