The owner Michael, comes highly recommended, he won’t steer you wrong. He himself is a guitarist. I got a good deal from him for my son’s classical guitar. The discount was enough to get him a month’s worth of lesson from John Stockdale, a guitar teacher in his shop. John is an excellent guitar instructor too.
It's Christmas time and you need a Banjo under your tree and six strings in the stockings. Shout out to Mike and Ye Olde Music Shop. They always make our Christmas morning merrier while mom's budget is respected. The drive to Hanahan is never an inconvenience when I get to go home so delighted.
Picked up a beautiful martin D35 there on Saturday. I spoke to Max over the phone and Michael in person. Both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They gave me an excellent price well below online/big box music stores and a free case and pickup without me even asking. These guys want people to have nice guitars.
This family owned music store gave me one of the most pleasant experiences when shopping for music equipment. Michael greeted me when I first stepped the store. He is insightful about the inventory and helped me decide on a new guitar. I was able to play multiple models and Michael would even bring me guitars to try.
