What's on the wall
“Pricing is a bit higher than other stores in the area, but that’s understandable given the amount of rare and hard-to-find titles they carry.”
What players say again and again
“But I will always cherish those we still have, particularly when they are as good as this place and have such a friendly, knowledgeable owner.”
From the reviews
10/10 wow amazing! I bought cassettes here and they had such variety! I was able to find KISS and Rolling Stones. The worker was so sweet and so funny as well. If you want a great experience I recommend this store. They have vinyls, CD’s, cassettes and so much more. I will come again no doubt about it.
A true gem of a record store in the Miami area. Evan, the owner, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made my visit especially enjoyable. The shop specializes in psychedelic and garage rock, which is very cool and gives it a strong, curated identity.
I'm a latin section exclusivist. That's pretty much all I go for. This section was decent, I could tell it's frequented by folks who know what they're looking for. Pricewise, it was less aggressive than some of the other shops in the area. They know what they have, but they aren't trying to bilk the customer.
first time visiting and I found a lot of GEMS! the owner of the store was lovely and gave me a lot of tips and recommendations to take care of my records.
Selling or trading gear at Yesterday and Today Records
Yesterday and Today Records comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
