Al's, John & Mike makes up this music center which is kinda a holdover from the old Al's music, which this crew of excellence originated from I believe. If you have music repair needs this is "the" place to go.
My experience with Al Asmus Band Instruments has been great. As a student at St. Cloud State, I've had many an opportunity to make purchases here, whether it would be reeds for woodwind methods or even metronomes to practice a rhythm.
Al was able to find the best saxophone stand for my needs. As a bonus, Al demonstrated the difference in sound quality between a bronze saxophone versus a brass one. It was interesting to here the subtle difference in sound quality! This is not the kind of experience one would have at a franchise operation.
Our go to place for clarinet repair. With to 2 kids totalling 5 years of playing we've had things break and need repairs. Al is extremely knowledgeable, kind and fair.
