I have worked with many luthiers in my 34 years as a guitarist, both in the Twin Cities and in central MN, and Mike is the best. Not only is he a talented musician and a staple of the St. Cloud music scene, he is one heck of a nice guy to boot.
Mike set up my baritone guitar this November and did a phenomenal job. We discussed what needed adjustment/how the action should be and it's like a new guitar. Even better than when it was new! I would recommend Miketech for guitar setups to anyone, the pricing and service is stellar.
I have been dealing with Mike for about 30 years since back to the Al's Music era. His repair work is top quality, he has an excellent ear for cool tone, and his rates represent a fair value. He is busy, his shop is packed, and he can be closed at unexpected times for a gig but these are minor inconveniences.
