I can't recommend purchasing instruments here enough. There are few places in NY where you can try out instruments while being guided by experts. I've bought my saxophone, flute, and clarinet from Atlas and whenever I go, I have a great experience. Most recently, I purchased an R13 Prestige from Atlas Music.
So I brought in an antique Master Model trumpet w 3 mouthpiece attachments. I had called around scoping out places that appraised brass instruments, word of mouth was Quinn was the man to find. And find him I did. He came out playing some cool other antique piece and with in seconds kicked into action on mine.
My daughter’s bridge was misaligned, so we brought it into Atlas. The staff there was really pleasant and helpful. Quinn was extremely knowledgeable about string instruments and was able to fix the bridge, clean up the excess rosin, tune the violin and teach us a few facts of the day about violins and upkeep while we…
I decided to go to Atlas with my flute after having a few frustrating experiences somewhere else and I'm so glad I did. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable with a clean and inviting space. They had the replacement plugs and cleaning rod I needed and were able to answer all my questions.
