I Shopped around for a complete neck reset and set up on my 1950s vintage Silvertone acoustic electric guitar. After talking to Jace I was sold on using Bentley Guitar Studios. When I picked it up and saw it for the first time I got tears in my eyes!
An absolute hidden gem. I can't say enough how much I love this shop. Old red brick historic building. Beautiful acoustic room full of Martin guitars. Awesome electric guitars. A fully capable repair shop, every bit as nice as something like Mass Street Music in Lawrence. Everyone here is really nice as well.
Brought my bass guitar to Bentley for help with some action and intonation issues and they did an absolutely bang up job reviving it! Now it’s playing as sweet as a nut. Then I hung out chatting with the staff for another half hour about gear and music. This is kinda store that makes you proud to live in a city.
I recently took my acoustic guitar in for a setup here and I’m really happy with how it turned out. They adjusted the truss rod, set the action and intonation, worked on the nut slots, buffed the frets, smoothed the fret edges, cleaned and conditioned everything, and put on a fresh set of strings.
