I met Chuck on the Outlaw Country Cruise 2017, and became familiar with his vision for Bootlegger Guitars. Since then, I've had the pleasure of playing his guitars and basses, particularly the ACE bass, and am extremely happy with the quality, functionality, and playability of these fine instruments.
I bought the Tube distortion pedal first and it made me get rid of every distortion pedal on my board yeah it's that good almost toooooo good. Very powerful so you need to dial it in. I just got the overdrive pedal yesterday and not surprised it is just as good.
I received my Royal body style guitar a couple months ago. I’ve waited to leave this review in order to be as accurate as possible. This brand might be the best purchase you could make, ever. the quality of the wood, the build itself, the tuners, the pickups, the finish- all with a floating FRS and a hard case?
I am very pleased with the craftsmanship & performance of the guitar I purchased from bootlegger. I also have an older Fender Stratocaster that I didn’t want to use so much anymore due to both it’s age, and of course, sentimental reasons. My bootlegger has quickly become my go to.
