I am from Colorado. I was visiting Hermosa Beach for work and found Mike's Guitar Parlor. This place has such a cool vibe! Not only are there Gibson's, Fenders and Acoustics. There are some custom built guitars that are very cool. I watched my do a couple setups and educate people about their guitars.
I've been a guitar player for over 35 years and I've never experienced a guitar shop like Mike's Guitar Parlour. When I arrived, Mike was entertaining family and friends and I was greeted warmly like a guest at the party.
This is a Guitar Shop like no other! Vintage one of a kind, Custom Built, Hand Wound kind of place.@Mike’s Says “come in and play whichever one’s you want.” And we do. He offers the best custom Set-Ups I’ve ever seen, lessons, advice & guitar knowledge you won’t get at GC. Look for the White Flip Flop on the door...
Great experience with a luthier that cares about the customer experience. Mike wants to help, he's not trying to maximize his margins. He provides thoughtful consultation and does great work. He seems to specialize in not wasting customer time which is incredible given his level of craftsmanship.
