I purchased a Bruton Hampden Skyline model semi hollow custom for my studio in NYC. As a composer and producer I explained to Ben that I was looking for a guitar with as much tonal diversity as possible.
Ben Bruton is a master guitar craftsman. Prior to working on my instruments, he always asks me detailed questions about my specifications. His fret work is of the highest order, and after completing a task, he asks you to road test the guitar so that he can make adjustments to the action.

Some jobs are small... but not unimportant; especially when it comes to a guitar your cherish. On the recommendation of a friend I brought my 92 Gibson So. Jumbo to Ben to repair the pick guard, which had lifted off. Simple job? Hardly. Although the original pick guard looked fine, Ben felt it should be replaced.
