I wodered how I'd missed him when looking for luthier services some time ago, but he explained that he had just last year expanded from custom guitar creation to include general guitar set up and repair.
We're in town from Phoenix on a 3 week pet sit for a friend in Carlsbad. Sadly, some idiot (me) changed out the strings but wrapped them on the wrong side of the tuning keys which subsequently snapped the nut at the lower E string.
Ian was phenomenally awesome at fixing my guitar. My guitar was missing a ground to its bridge. It took him less than an hour to get the job done. Very experience Guitar Luthier! Definitely coming back again whenever I have an issue
I brought Ian a Jazzmaster that needed a bridge adjustment and neck shim. He knocked it out quickly and the guitar played amazing after his setup! Great shop nice friendly guy with tons of experience!
