From the reviews

Georgetown Music (in Burien) was a wonderful first-time musical instrument shopping experience. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and respectful even with 1,000 basic questions fired their way.

Wish these guys had more shop space, but they make good use of what they have. Great selection of a bit of everything. Lots of pedals. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

my first time in this store and I'm impressed! they have a good selection of new and vintage instruments, at good prices. the owner Brent, and Mike are friendly and knowledgeable. plus, they're just nice guys! there's an art event on the second saturday every month in Georgetown.

★★★★★ — Tari, May 2019

I had some special musical needs(wanted to rent a guitar for a few days) and they were happy to accommodate me. It was a used guitar that they had taken the time to set up really well. So,I got the impression that their guitar tech does first rate pro work! Great selection of equipment! Thank you Brent, Mike and Mike!

Selling or trading gear at Georgetown Music

Georgetown Music comes up for buying and trading used gear — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the trip go better. First, bring the whole package: the case or gig bag, the original tremolo arm or bridge parts, the paperwork if you have it — a complete rig is worth real money more than a bare instrument, and it saves the back-and-forth of "can you bring the case in?" Second, know that trade credit almost always beats the cash offer, usually by a healthy margin — if you're upgrading anyway, price your old gear as a trade against the new one before you take cash. Either way, expect the offer to be below what the gear sells for on the wall; the gap is the store's margin for setup, warranty, and sitting on it until the right buyer walks in.
